Be alert this community although it has an appealing location and price at first is very deceiving. I moved in and was here for a year and they wanted to raise my rent 10% to renew my lease. Even after talking to management explaining that I living alone and could not afford a raise in my rent I was still denied the reduced rate and at that point choose to move to another newer Avalon Community.

I found this apartment complex to be older but quite spacious. Management was slow to fix issues, and all the appliances in the apartment needed replacing during my stay. No one was friendly/outgoing and parking sucked especially when you had groceries to carry.

During the year I lived in Autumn Woods I had to deal with the poorly lit community and a peeping tom while walking my dog at night. People speed through the community running the STOP signs and you have to be careful to avoid accidents. Not to mention we could practically hear the upstairs neighbors snore and the conversation in the neighbors bathroom was as clear as day. The workout rooms have minumum equipment and the pool doesn't open until memorial day instead of the memorial day weekend.

You know it's bad when the trash bin is always overflowing and 6 people move out the weekend before you do. I was even told lies by management (For example: that Avalon doesn't have any gated communities) I was also instructed by the property manager when bringing some security issues to her attention not to walk my dog at night. What a load of crap.

Please look elsewhere before choosing this community so you don't have regretes or write down everything and keep track of the fees you are asked to pay. You should know its expensive to live here and not that nice of a community there are others in Fair Lakes to choose from. Bottom line is its a rip off.
