The apartments are adequate, but certainly nothing special. My one-bedroom apartment is small and dark, but it has the essentials. They're upgrading now, and the refurbished units have much nicer appliances, cabinets, etc.

Maintenance used to be fine - they would show up on time and do an adequate job fixing things. However, as time went on, they simply stopped responding. My carpet seams are coming apart in several places and they refuse to fix it.

Because they are remodeling the apartments, they will not renew my lease. They're evicting me after four years so that they can refurbish my apartment, fix all the things I've been asking them to fix for the better part of a year, and then rent it to someone else for more money.

They are not offering me any consolations for this eviction - no moving expenses, no discount on a remodeled apartment, nothing. I got a letter in the mail saying thanks for living here, now get out.

In addition, they will not let me out of my lease early, even though they're evicting me, saying I'd have to pay a 2-months' rent penalty fee to terminate my lease early. They gave me 60 days' notice that I was being evicted in the first place, mind you.

There is plenty of parking, but huge bushes on corners and terrible blind spots lead to regular near-collisions. The winding streets also mean lots of oddly shaped/angled spots and it's pretty easy to turn a corner and nearly hit a parked car if you're not paying attention when you're new to the neighborhood.

The grounds are well-kept in general, but there is no lighting around the mailboxes and the staircase to my second-floor apartment creaks and sways and feels like it's about to fall.

The leasing staff used to be fabulous - very responsive and caring. They even offered free pet-sitting while you were on vacation. Over time, though, those services went away and the friendly leasing agents were replaced with cold, uncaring robots who only spout policy and fee schedules.

Overall, customer service was fine until this year, and now they simply don't care about the 'old' tenants. They are ONLY interested in remodeling so they can increase the rent and are completely uncooperative with any maintenance requests or issues in the old apartments.

I agree with these comments. The staff and service has become horrible. No one should move to this community.
