Average Apartment, not bad but nothing to get excited over

I've lived here for about a year, my lease is ending in a month and overall I say it was just ok. It's around $1285 for a 1bd now, when I got in I got the one month free so it a decent incentive. I'm leaving mainly cause there's no real reason to stay, nothing stands out, nothing to make me sign on for another year. The one month free is only for new tenants, so that won't apply to renewing.
The good: It's pretty quiet, nobody really bothers me while i'm there and I don't hear ridiculous noise. I live in one of the renovated apartments, and they did a decent job with the place. Parking is pretty abundant around here, never had difficulty finding parking. Pretty spacious floor plans, nice covered decks too.
Bad: Well, things started falling apart for no reason. The doorknob on the bedroom just stopped working, bathroom door to the laundry machines fell off, and the toilet paper holder fell off. Also, the light on the balcony stopped working. Occasional bug here and there, nothing serious though. Management staff is ok, but they aren't so responsive. I told them what I was looking for to renew, nobody called me. Jason still has yet to call me back (I believe he's the manager) and I spoke to a guy named Dan who had no idea what was going on. Maybe he was having a bad day or something, maybe he's an idiot.. I don't know but really they don't make much of an effort to keep people signed on.
Bottom line: If you get one of the specials and a renovated apartment it's not a bad deal for this area. It's pleasant, you'll be comfortable, and it's pretty safe. I never felt scared living here. However, again there's nothing to get excited over so I would only sign on again if there was a deal involved, otherwise I see no point. Since no deal for me this time, I've looked elsewhere.

They use the cheapest glitzy looking items they can find. The apartment looks super when you move in and then things start falling apart. I am usually out of town and stay in my apartment only 1-2 times a week; things have still deteriorated.
