Great locations-ok apartment, with A LOT of problems

I have lived in a few apartments before Camden Fairlakes, so my expectations were not that high. All apartment buildings have problems. The problems here are:
- VERY thin walls, over the past year, I've gotten used to hearing the toilet flushing or the shower starting up in the apartment above me. Most times it sounds like it's raining and now I know my neighbors daily routine. From time to time, I hear drawers closing in the neighbors apartment. If anyone shares a wall with your bedroom and likes to talk on the phone at night, good luck getting any sleep.
- The apartment itself has a lot of problems. Some I have given up on trying to fix. There is a cracking sound that comes from our kitchen, that my roommate and I learned to ignore, but it sure catches new people off guard. The apartment staff said they fixed it like five times, but I've yet to see any results.
-Now for the fun part, all of the reviews mention the "friendly", "helpful" and "reliable" staff. NOT!! Most times I have to call a few times to get one problem fixed. When the staff is not in the office, the answering machine kicks in to tell you that you can't leave a message since the mailbox is full, so you have to call at just the right time to catch anyone. The people that work there have short term memory...of about 5 minutes. So if they make any promise (like calling you when the lock is changed to arrange a pick up of keys), it is unlikely to actually happen. I've had to go through this a few times since the mail box key was defective and then the lock itself broke a few months later.
--the trash pick up is pretty convenient and finally a decent solution to the earlier problem where the trash would pile up. It was absolutely disgusting and I am sure was responsible for breeding rats. I have a feeling that someone contacted the local health agency and forced them to take action. Now they pick up your trash from your apartment which is convenient.
--the parking is a sore subject for guests, but I generally do not have trouble finding a spot so I don't care too much. Afterall, I'd rather have more parking for residents than guests, since I'm the one paying for rent. My guests can walk.
Overall, not the biggest dump, but it could use a lot of improvement.
