I have lived here for several months, and I have no complaints about the unit or the complex. I have requested a few things to be fixed in the unit, and each time the maintanence team responded quickly and with courtesy and professionalism. This is a direct reflection of the qualities of the property mananger on site, Mr Rateb. He is always sincere, genuinely concerned about the living quality of the unit, and frequently asks if everything is ok so far. The maintenance team does their best to get the job done right each time. The leasing office staff is sincere and courteous, especially Rosita and the lovely Lauren, who was my leasing agent. The grounds are well kept and lovely, especially the large pool. I enjoy coming home, conveniently located and yet has that feel of privacy from the traffic and congestion of Fairfax county.I have never experienced a negative situation with this complex or with the staff. There is a gym and a basketball court, lively community gatherings, and friendly neighbors. In fact, I recommend Camden Fair Lakes to anyone who wants a safe, affordable, and convenient housing solution in very pleasant surroundings.

It is painfully obvious that this review wasn't actually written by someone living at Camden Fair Lakes. The staff is in no way sincere and management could care less about tenant issues. We had to write 5 letters before we could even get someone to deliver a warning notice to our neighbors who had parties every night of the week until 4 a.m. with 50 people standing in the breezeway outside our bedroom wall. The heap of trash at the entrance is disgusting. A logical solution would be to add a couple more compactors at other locations in the community, but Camden's solution is to hire a company to pick up your trash at your door and carry it to the dumpster for you for a mandatory monthly fee. Being that the trash is located at the entrance to the community and will be the first impression for anyone shopping for an apartment you would think they would be more interested in resolving the issue.

"Courteous" and "Mr. Rateb" do not belong in the same sentence, unless you count being able to say "NO" fifty different ways as "courteous." "Sincere" can only be used with regards to the leasing staff if describing how sincere their belief is that the tenant is wrong and they are right. Truly, the (mis)management of this place made it the worst place I have ever lived, and that doesn't take into account the rats all over the grounds.

This review is a total joke because it's more of an advertisement from a Camden employee than it is a genuine review from a REAL tenant. Camden Fair Lakes' approval rating just keeps plummeting so it's obvious the office is getting desperate by having one of their employees leave this ridiculously false review. The staff is anything but helpful and the maintenance crew is anything but responsive and knowledgeable. The heaping trash pile in front of the complex is a complete eyesore and the trash left in front of the tenant's doors get ravaged by the squirrels so trash is strewn about. The rent is ridiculously high for what you get. The appliances are old and barely working, the carpet is absolutely disgusting and even after 2 years, we are still having a hard time getting rid of the nasty stench from the last tenant. New carpet would have solved this problem. You're better off renting somewhere else. It shouldn't be hard finding a complex with a higher approval rating than the 23% Camden Fair Lakes is currently rated at.

Guess what?? You are ALL wrong. I wrote the mvnj review. I am a tenant, and I probably got the best and newest unit of all of y'all that are complaining! New appliances, new carpet, new paint, beautiful all around. Just because you dont agree with me doenst mean I havent had a better experience here than you. You probably have unrealistic expectations and would probably be miserable anywhere you live.
