It's one of the cheapest places to live in Fairfax, and considering that it is still pretty nice. No ----, Sherlock, if you're going to be paying hundreds of dollars less than anywhere else in the area, then don't be surprised if it isn't a palace. Don't be fooled by all the negative reviews, most people are just -------.

PARKING
True, guest parking does suck and they do tow gusts. The towing company starts towing at midnight on the dot. All of their towing and parking policies are clearly states in the lease, posted all over the grounds and parking spaces, so don't complain when you get towed for being ignorant to them. All units get as many parking passes as there are bedrooms plus an extra guest pass. The garage underneath the plaza is gross, but they have been completely renovating it, and the renovated parts are very nice, though the unrenovated parts look like the batcave and are constantly leaking. I have never had trouble finding a place to park. There is more than enough surface parking, and even with a good portion of the garage closed off for renovations, I have always been able to find a spot in the garage.

UTILITIES
True, the utility bill is split amongst the building, so you don't have control over how much your utility bill will be that month, but I am yet to see a bill for more than $125 for a 3-bedroom apartment, most months for the past year have been $80 or less. Splitting it amongst the building does allow you to keep your AC on COLD during the summer and your heat on HOT in the winter and not feel guilty. They have also recently installed FiOS in all the apartments, so internet can be 5mbps to 30mbps. I have 15mbps with 200 tv channels and phone for $100/month. try finding that at another "slum" in fairfax.

MANAGEMENT
This is probably the worst part of CT. They are lazy, un-sympathetic jerks, but deal with it. I'm not going to defend them, just deal with it.

LOCATION
If you're looking at circle towers in the first place, this is probably one of the reasons that you're looking here. Its right in Fairfax Circle, so you're right at the intersection of Route 50 and Route 29, not to mention a mile from 66 and about 4 miles from 495. MetroBus stops are located on site or right across the street, plus three of the 4 cue bus routes pass right by, with the other route about half a mile north. Also, the Vienna Metro is about a 15 minute (1-mile) walk north, which is a major plus, meaning not needing to take a bus to the metro or paying to park there.

Fairfax Circle Plaza is an absolute dump. There's no going around that. I have seen police there frequently and actively arresting people for who knows what. It's not a great commercial neighborhood. It does, however, have a ruby tuesday, staples, subway, radio shack, and several other shops. Plus there is IHOP right on site, as well as a far more attractive shopping center (PanAm) about 1 mile east, which has several restaurants, gas station, safeway, and a lot more.

ELEVATORS
I don't know what people are talking about. The elevators are never broken. The only problem that I have with elevators are when people want to block off the elevator to move-in or move-out (without permission), leaving just one elevator working. Even then, it's not more than a two-minute wait, just inconvenient.

My suggestion is to read up on CT with an open mind. Remember that most people who are going to take the time and trouble to post something are doing so because they had a bad experience and want to vent. I happened to stumble across this and had to give a more balanced viewpoint. Without question it is not the best place to live at in Fairfax, but most places in FFX for a 3-bedroom are hundreds of dollars more a month (even average places being $500-700 more/month) and many of them are even more dumpy than CT. Understand that if you are paying less for CT than most elsewhere, then you're not going to get a great place. It's also the only place in fairfax that i know of that doesnt have bugs.
