The Truth About Circle Towers...

I'm not quite sure where to start. Many of the issues I've had at Circle Towers have already been covered in the other reviews; however, there is still much, MUCH more. Over the course of my two year stay at CT, I too have dealt with continuously changing management, endless construction, feckless maintenance people, being towed multiple times despite clearly having a permit, and and to top it all off, overpriced and continually rising rent. Yet there are things that have yet to be mentioned by the previous reviews...
First, Circle Towers is basically immigrant housing. There are very few people who speak English well enough to communicate. This includes residents, staff, and contracted workers. Secondly, most apartments are severely over-occupied. It is not unusual to have two bedroom apartments with 8-12 people in them. This not only adds to noise pollution and is against the simplest of fire codes, but since Circle Towers divides utilities evenly among apartments, it greatly inflates an honest resident's utility bills.
Circle Towers boasts workout facilities, swimming pool and laundry amenities; however, they are consistently broken and/or filthy. Furthermore, the staff hired to maintain these facilities are incompetent beyond all help.
On a regular basis, the management leaves "inspection notices" outside your door saying "We will be in your apartment for maintenance within the next 15 days." Understandably, it is difficult to pinpoint the exact date of service in an apartment complex this large, but a resident will receive two of these notices a month, every month. This essentially leaves your apartment open to inspection/invasion at ANY TIME of the management's choosing. After all, "you were given notice."
Any potential renters should know that Circle Towers has a distinct odor to it at all times. Perhaps partially due to the fact that its immigrant housing and also due to the fact that it is built atop an Indian restaurant, Circle Towers smells like an Indian man's armpit set ablaze.
Lastly, and on a more serious note, safety is a definite concern. Not only am I constantly accosted by random workers and transients, but there was a stabbing on my floor, to which the police responded 20 minutes late. The blood stains are still on the hallway carpets. Furthermore, when I first moved here, I had to call the police due to gunshots in the courtyard. Also, I found an incapacitated Mexican in the trash shoot. Once again, I called the cops. Needless to say, I didn't throw my trash out that evening.
So...with that being said, I hope you enjoy your stay at Circle Towers!

You are such a racist!! "Indian man's armpit set ablaze"? Well, you can always find white trash, but Indian people are the wealthiest in this country.
