Living here for more than 4 years out of my compulsion for nearby job and financial conditions. Here's my findings:

LOCATION:
==========

Good for DC commuters as it is nearby metro


HYGIENE:
========
VERY BAD ! I started seeing mice in my kitchen 8 months back and got them controlled by repeatedly calling pest control. Now , I have started seeing roaches in kitchen and bathrooms! We have to keep our food covered everytime and we can't dare to eat anything that is left unattended & open for more than 10-15 minutes. We are very much worried about the health hazards to our 1 year old daughter now.


SECURITY:
=========

NOT SECURE !! people steel cloths from laundry room if left for more than 5-6 hrs.


MAINTENANCE:
============

Maintenance staff responds within resonable time. However, overall maintenace of property is bad.


RENT:
=====

A bit Lower than other renting communities but keep in mind that other communities are well maintained also.

The rent is lower but it's not worth for all the headaches and everyday problems, specially rodents, roaches , security and maintenence.



BOTTOM LINE:
=============

Not for standard living. If you can afford a bit higher rent then go for that. Sacrificing peace of mind is not worth the little saving.

Maybe the fact that you have attracted the bugs is because you leave your food out and maybe your laundry is stolen because you ABANDONED it for 5-6 hours. This has to be a joke.

Yeah, I remember when the "Serial Flasher" was in the neighborhood showing his family nards to passer-by's. Circle Towers put a flyer under the door to tell us. Of course, they were putting flyers under our door daily, so I am glad I got to see the news segment on Fox, rather than discarding the "security memorandum." Glad I live in better housing now where the tenants are old and retired! -Me

This tenant was one of the main reasons why i decided to move out after two years- completely inconsiderate @$$wipe neighbors who have no common decency for their fellow residents. You left your clothes sitting in the machines for 5-6 hours!?!?! are you f-ing serious?! you have no idea how much frustration you, and people like you, caused me. It is your responsibility, to yourself and your community neighbors, to take care of your clothes when you use the public machines. I know I always got back to the laundry room 2-3 minutes *before* my cycles ended so i wouldn't be that jack@$$ who inconvenienced everyone. anything more than 10 minutes past the cycle's end is completely irresponsible. you deserved to have your clothes stolen.

lol. not sure who wrote the anonymous comment, but leaving food out for 10-15 minutes hardly attracts bugs, they had to be in the building to begin with...... from the other apartments. this building takes no care of the pest problems. -- management has no intentions either. bugs overrun every angle, even if you don't leave food out. sorry but I have to agree with the passage author! re: the abandoned clothing, you shouldn't leave your clothes in the machines anyway..... typically they have to be used, and it holds everyone else up. you should always be weary that your clothes can be stolen when you wash them in public facilities, that goes without saying -- especially in circle towers where there are so many less fortunate residents then ourselves who find it hard to believe 2nd hand stolen is their first hand new.
