Not a good experience

I was not impressed by Archstone. When we first moved in there was paint peeling from the deck. I put in a request for it to be fixed, and never was. It was an eyesore for having guests over.
The parking situation was not good, and the area was very poorly lit. Often outside hallway lights would remain burnt out for weeks. I didn't feel safe walking at night half a mile in poorly lit conditions.
The tennis courts lights were often burned out. The fitness center water cooler was never refilled. The tv in the fitness center didn't work for 2 months before being fixed. They would also randomly change the access code to the fitness center without notification to ensure that it was being used by the right people. This meant having to go into the leasing office during regular hours. It happened several times and often after waking at 6 to workout only to find you coulndn't get in. Frustrating....
They did respond quickly to service requests, and some of the people were really nice in the leasing office, but also much attitude.
I placed an emergency service request before our air conditioning broke in the summer and the techician was annoyed and claimed he had just gotten home and would be a while.
The location is nice, and overall the apartment complex is nice, but is not well maintained and way too pricy for what you get.
