To start of with, one of the salespeople told us emphatically assured us that all Utilities were included within the rent, and then a week later told us that he never made such a statement, and this was not the case.
A few positives:
- quick turnaround with maintenance requests (we never had problems with this)
- nice jogging path for runners/walking path for pets
- parking was usually not a problem, there was always a spot open (unless you came back at late hours, like past midnight)
- in the 2-bed & 2-bath apartments, the master bedroom & bathroom were pretty good sized
The negatives:
- NOISE. The walls are paper-thin in this complex, and we were definitely surrounded by a**hole neighbors who would blare their top 40 music anywhere from 1am on a Wednesday night to 7am on a Sunday morning - loud enough to the extent that you could clearly hear the words (When we complained about this to the office, they said there's nothing they can do). If someone spoke in an "outside voice" in the apartment below you or next to you, you could hear the whole conversation. I could often hear the words of commercials from the TV in apartments below/next to ours. We had dogs living above us, and when they ran, our whole ceiling and our furniture shook.
- As mentioned previously, the people in the rental office are pretty incompetent.
- While we had a few really nice neighbors, the majority of our neighbors were douchebags. The guy below us believed nobody was allowed to walk their dog anywhere near his apartment because "it was his property" (even the public areas), there were kids openly smoking pot on their ground-level front porch on most evenings, and all sorts of college kids partying on weeknights with loud music and commotion. Most neighbors with pets rarely picked up the poop piles.
- Our Stove/Oven unit was awful, no matter how many times we got it "serviced" - it took twice the time to cook anything when compared to a normal functioning one.
- they boast about a "Fitness Center" on the complex, but the equiptment is old, dilapidated, and looks like it was purchased in the 70's. They have 2 treadmills and 2 stair masters, only 1 of each dont work (and have never been fixed or replaced). Most middle school gyms have better equipment.
Unless you're a college kid who wants to move into a decent apartment for not too much $$, stay away.

I can't believe they told you utilities were included...that's so shady! We've had similar experiences here and cannot wait to leave. (There's a douchebag with an entitlement issue living below us too!) The people who live above us once had a party that literally shook our ceiling until 4am. There are a few nice people here and there, but overall this is the worst quality of neighbors we have ever experienced. I do agree about the maintenance and parking being alright, those were the only two things about living here that weren't a problem.

We looked at places there. We had a very ditsy little girl showing us around. She was nice, but fake. She asked me randomly what my cat's name was. And I thought it odd, just to abruptly ask that of someone. Then I realized why she did it. It was so that in the follow up call the next day she could mention the name and it would seem like she "Cared" about us as people. Which she did not. I knew that much. We decided on a place in the Jefferson by the Fair Oaks Mall. Been there little over a week, so probably not long enough to sing its praises, but our apartment is gorgeous. And far less then what anyone else was offering. Absolutely silent as well. (knocks on wood).

I agree that the rental office staff is incompetant. We've had the worst time dealing with the people there. They seem totally unorganized and can't seem to keep straight the amount of money that we owe vs. what we've already paid. Oh and we also found out after the fact about the utilities not being included. Oh and the "fitness center" is a joke. I didn't even like going down there.
