I have lived in The Elms for 2 years. The maintenance people access the apartment several times a year for routine maintenance, inspections, etc. I've had extremely poor response to maintenance requests, the only maintenance they've performed quickly was emergency maintenance. Shortly after renewing my lease, the management announced that they were going to rip out all of the pipes in the whole complex and replace them. I really didn't appreciate that this major rennovation was not revealed to me before renewing my lease. Two weeks of construction dust, holes in walls, and unusable water. The patch job they did on the ceilings is hideous. The place looks like crap. The front office people are pretty lazy. I had a package sit in the office there for over 2 weeks without anyone notifying me like they are supposed to. They seem to really know nothing about leases, and I have had to make corrections on both leases. And, although I see a lot of people disagree with me, the noise is ridiculous. I can hear my neighbors flush the toilet, take a shower, get in and out of bed. Oh I hear them have sex. Yeah, that pretty much sums it up right there. There is a swamp of water at my front door EVERY time it rains. They don't salt the parking lot, and don't clear the sidewalks adequately. As a matter of fact, I severely broke my ankle in their parking lot slipping on a patch of ice. I should have sued. This place sucks.
