Overall the apartment is decent for what you pay in this area given that it sits near highway 66 and is around the corner from the Vienna metro. If you have a unit with carpet, chances are its not the best and could probably stand to be replaced. Also be advised that you have to clean it when you move out. Be prepared to freeze in the living room in the winter as the windows are horrible and rattle. The living room has a large sliding. Overall, the apartment in the winter is quite drafty so be prepared for high electric bills. The other reviewers are correct about the roach problem. You will definitely see them. As for management, the guy is usually rude, especially if you are requesting that something be fixed, whereas Barbara tries to be helpful. As for maintenance, be prepared to wait. It may take months to get things repaired. Just hope its nothing major or you may be in trouble. The neighbors are nice. The walls are thin. I agree with the other comments about snoring neighbors and being able to tell when yuor neighbors are in the bathroom because of the noisy pipes. If you are a woman, there are always the the abundence of Hispanic day laborers that linger around the complex. Not comforting if you work late.
