Unless you're down on your luck, and MUST find a place to stay FAST, avoid Fairfax Circle Villa at all costs. The buildings are roach infested. They will blame you. I couldn't even keep a toaster in my apartment. I woke up one morning to find the inside of it crawling with bugs. I'd never had roaches in my home until living at Fairfax Circle Villa. They use scare tactics to frighten people who are new to this country. I often felt quite sorry for my neighbors when I saw the way they were bullied by the horrid, disrespectful management. I lived there for several years, and found that management got progressively worse as time went on. The male half of the management is very scary. He is sugar and spice one minute and a raging freak the next (I watched him get mad at others, not me, I watched a lot while I lived there, in fear, waiting to get out.) People were in my apartment without my permission on an almost weekly basis. Management always had some ridiculous excuse as to why they were allowing strangers into my place. Most of the surrounding units were inhabited by renters for less than a year, showing to me that Fairfax Circle Villa is an emergency, temporary place for many people. Management was consistently rude and sloppy in their communication. They don't fix things right away, and then blamed me for not having it fixed. I was actually told by the woman who works there that if they don't fix a reported problem in 48 hours, it is the renters responsiblity to call and remind the office every 24 hours thereafter. Weird. I felt very unsafe. I had a repairman enter my apartment when I was getting into the shower. They didn't call ahead (at all- not even days ahead), and I couldn't hear them knocking. That's scary. I've lived in some poor areas, in some fairly ghetto situations, and nothing compared to the ickiness I experienced at Fairfax Villa Circle. Warning to all young women:: there are men constantly hanging around the grounds and nearby 7-11 who will stare at you like meat. Very creepy.There are much nicer, safer, cleaner places in the area to live, with extra parking spaces! I wish I could go more into detail, but I don't feel safe (still, they did a number on me). Management will probably post something in response to this, putting the blame on everyone and anything but themselves. That in itself should show you the kind of immature awfulness you'd be dealing with by chosing to live there. I cannot warn you enough. Stay away. It's stressful for me to even write about this. It doesn't feel good to say bad things about people. I'm in a much better place now. I am only writing this to warn potential tenants. I wish someone had warned me.
