Safety is their Last Concern

Where to begin..lets see
1. With winter comes snow and ice...it happens every year. You would think the property management company would be prepared for this. Instead of clearing the sidewalks and stairs they just threw some salt on them to melt the 2 inches of snow/ice. They did manage to melt some of the snow which then turned into a nice slick sheet of ice overnight. If I hadn't cleared the stairs there would probably still be ice there.
2. When a series of break ins occurs it would be nice to warn your residents about it and put out some tips on how to avoid being targeted. Instead you have to walk out to your car to find a kid sitting in your seat ripping your stereo out. The police said we were the 4th or 5th break in that week.
3. I wouldn't have known about the guy who was breaking into the apartments and hiding behind the doors until people got home if one of my neighbors hadn't told me. From what they said there was no forced entry...kinda sounds like another key was left in the lock by the "curteous and efficient" maintence crew.
4. While this isn't personal saftey..it is about the saftey of your car. The "lines" that separate the parking spots are about a foot long...most people can't see them when they are pulling in...is paint really that expensive' It can't be...they paint the curbs yellow on a weekly basis.
5. During the "remodeling" we got a chance to see what the condition of the walls were underneath the siding. They didn't look to bad before the rains from Isabel hit...but the water damage afterwards was another story. Instead of replacing the damaged pieces the workers just covered them up with the new siding.
6. When we voiced our concern about allowing the workers(2-3 at a time) on the balconies at 7:30am the management company brushed us off. I don't think the single women(or their boyfriends) appreciated the workers being on the balconies while they were getting ready for work..even with the blinds closed you can still see in.
Do not trust the positive comments that you see here..they are written by the management company who think cookies are a selling point for an apartment.
Basically DO NOT LIVE HERE. Unless you like feeling unsafe..then by all means move right in.
