Terrible experience!!!

Bad news first: First off the application process took about a month. Upon moving in, it was great that it was remodeled, new appliances, paint, carpet, etc. However, by nightfall, the roaches invaded, as well as the ants and silverfish, and once a cennapede.
Windows were not sealed properly. Balcony door did not shut all the way or lock, and never did to this day, after several complaints we gave up. Day two of move-in we decided to use the lovely ceiling fan, a few minutes later one of the blades flew off and nearly decapitated my roommate. Maintaince was very nice and for the most part prompt about it.
The bugs were horrible, I found alot of roaches with paint on their backs, so they had been there quite awhile and they must have known about them.
The closet doors were always coming off the tracks, my closet actually fell apart off the wall because it was not installed properly (into the studs of the wall). The dishwasher must have spung a leak or something because the wall on the other side began to grow black mold.
I never had my car broken into (I have an alarm) but I definitly notice cars that had been broken into (and we even had a security guard at night!) My boyfriends tire was slashed, as we walked through the parking lot we found 3 others cars with slashed tires. I informed management about it, just so they could inform other tenants, kind of an FYI thing but they didn't.
Parking at times was a problem. The outside remodeling started a few months after I moved in and continued long after I moved out. The workers started at promptly 7:00am, even on Saturdays and some Sundays, so we could not sleep in, ever! They were in our balconies and at our windows looking in, even with the blinds closed. They left there stuff out everywhere for us to trip on. I informed management that people were getting hurt and they did nothing. When it was approaching move out time, I asked management if they could get the workers to move there tools for a few hours so I could move my furniture and things out without risking serious injury and they flat out said no they could not do that. One of the workers felt bad and assured me that had they known it would have been no problem, so they helped me move my things.
Good news: The landscape is well kept, the parking garage is great (if you can get a spot), there are fresh cookies daily in the office. There are cute little baby geese running around in the spring time, but of course the down side to that is the parents making fog-horn noise early in the mornings. Rent at the time was not bad for a 3 bedroom, with two other people to split with, however it has since increased.
