How do you feel when you have established a relationship with someone for 3 years and then suddenly they give you a kick in the rear. I and my friend had been staying at Hermitage for almost 3 years. We never had a problem with the apartment management until it came to vacating the place.
We were slapped with a bill for replacing the carpet which was prorated based on their calculations and were sent a letter saying that if we failed to do so then our case will be sent to the collection agency. We left the apartment in a clean state with two stains that measured at the most 6inches by 6inches, thats about 1.250 sq.ft and were charged for replacing carpet equivalent to 100sq.ft, just because the carpet color was not available.

That??s just preposterous, considering we lived there for 3 years and were charged 1400 in rent per month, were good residents and were decent enough to go to the management to sort this matter. The resident manager was not ready to budge on any of the suggestions we came up with and stuck to her calculation. The recent downfall in the housing market has made these apartment managers put out unreasonable rents and have given them an extra force in their hands. Down with the renter..who cares about them..thats the attitude.

I had a decent experience during my stay but the exit was just like a kick in the butt.
