This is in response to the person who complained about unsanitary conditions and immigrants.

First off, unless your family is Native American, you also come from immigrants. I find this highly offensive, and that comment alone makes me disqualify your comments.

Secondly, I have lived at Layton Hall for 1.5 years. I have seen a roach here or there, but MY apartment is clean, and therefore, I don't have an infestation problem. I also know that the office staff made one of my neighbors move out because they were not keeping their apartment clean. So, I have to ask, why was your apartment infested'

Thirdly, Fox 5 news did a story last week on bed bugs. I had always thought it was a story, but according to the news, many 5 star hotels in New York, DC and Arlington are having a problem. Therefore, I don't think you can blame this on your apartment community. I applaud my landlord for taking proactive steps to ensure that my apartment doesn't get these nasty little creatures.

My roommate and I are both single females, and we not only love our apartment, we love our neighbors, of all nationalities. Thank goodness that our ancestors did not have to deal with this type of discrimination, stereo-typing and prejudice that this person has obviously let cloud their heart.

There have been numerous improvements to our community over the past year, including painting the hallways of our building, installing really nice trash dumpsters, and bike racks. The cleaning staff is not only friendly, but they do a great job. When we go to the office to pay our rent or ask for maintenance, the staff always remembers our names, and they treat us like they really care.
