I can't complain

I've lived here for over 3 years and I can't complain about anything really. Maintenance service is pretty fast. Parking is excellent and there is visitor parking, too. My dog loves all of the grass and trees, and the staff spoils him. My building is always clean, and I rarely hear my neighbors. In fact, my neighbors are great and many of them have lived here longer than I have. The rooms are big and bright, the closets are excellent, and I love my big balcony. No dishwasher, but the laundry rooms are always clean and well lit.

The office staff always takes the time to see how we are doing and if we need anything. They are always pleasant and helpful. I know the manager lives here and that makes a difference in my opinion. Shopping is right next door, and there are a ton of restaurants within walking distance. The police station is right behind us and I feel better knowing they are always in the area.

The bug problem other people have mentioned has not been a problem in my apartment. I'm not sure if it's because we are super clean, or if it's because the building is treated every 2-3 months. I've lived in older apartments before and this once seems to be really well maintained.

The price can't be beat so I'm probably going to stay for a few more years until we're ready to buy a house. I recommend living here because of the price, the location, and the staff takes good care of us.

Are you kidding me. I lived in that ---- hole last year and I am a neat freak and there were still bugs EVERYWHERE. The staff was never at the office when I would take my rent. The laundry rooms are GROSS!!!! I think the place should be condemned. I don't know what your standards of living are but layton hall is certainly NOT up to par.

I COMPLETELY agree with anonymous, this place was a "poop" hole. It really sounds as if the person who posted the original post is an employee or friends with employee because EVERYTHING they said is total BS. its actually pretty laughable. ----- was ok I guess, she did get me a new fridge and stove, since the insides were literally COVERED in roach poop. I have to admit she did make that happen really quickly. The ----- chick is cool and helpful. I forget her name. Let me just say, I am Obsessive Compulsive. My home, car and office are IMMACULATE. messiness, dirt and clutter make my brain explode. So tell me why I had to have the exterminators in my place every TWO WEEKS for 3 months. I have 2 ferrets and they had to be taken out EVERYTIME, making me miss work and unable to go home every two weeks, AND finding something to do with my animals for 24 hours.... and even though they came every other week, the roaches NEVER stopped EVER. my neighbors were evicted for who knows what... glad too because I could hear them getting it on right thru the paper thin walls... like THEY needed more kids than the 4 they had already in a 2 bedroom. I NEVER ever used the laundry rooms. the one in my building was filthy, dark, smelly and just SKETCHY! the ONE time I went to check it out I really felt I needed to bring my knife. YES its that bad. I would rather take 3 loads of laundry to my parents house and do it there than my own place. I moved out after only 3 months of that nightmare. I will NEVER EVER forget my first night here, the night I moved in. There was NOTHING in the apartment except literally, and I SWEAR i am NOT making this up or exaggerating at ALL, HUNDREDS of roaches crawling the walls, floors and appliances. I called the 24 hour maintenence number and they said they are just a company that answers calls and contacts the leasing office if there is a real emergency, which roaches is not... I cried and killed as many roaches as i could non stop for the first hour or two i was there. NOT to mention I was SEVERELY underquoted on utility prices. i realize they dont know exactly how much you will use, but i was hardly ever home and my utilities came to over a hundred bucks MORE than ----- said it should be. How is it I am never home because of the bugs, yet my utility bill is still thru the roof? TAKE MY WORD, DO NOT MOVE HERE! the ONLY good thing I can say about this place is they just built a Police station RIGHT behind layton hall, so if you needed the cops, which in this neighborhood really might happen, you could probably scream and they would hear you... I remember one time there were notices slipped under the doors saying someone got mugged or raped or attacked nearby. and then sometimes there is a cop that sits in the parking lot but according to him they only sit there when "the weather is nice" so... good luck in the winter i guess....

---- is so funny. Those apartments aren't nice, they're disgusting! Roach and bedbug infested, paper thin walls, nasty laundry rooms, dirty grounds, no visitor parking in the evening and more. Overall, it's not worth it.

This is so freakin' hilarious. This post can't be about the same Layton Hall I lived in! Office at ----- Layton Hall drive? Yumi (the nice ----- lady) in the office was great, but is no longer there either because of ----'s bs. I know it's ---- posting. She thinks everyone is as stupid as she is.

Are you serious? This has to be written by the staff of the apartment, because they management is usually frazzled, if you can get a hold of them at all. They will lie to your face, tell you there's no problem when there is, and never actually take care of the problem you have. And the bugs are everywhere, I don't think you could live there without them.

you have to be kidding me!!!!this has been written by management, by friends of management, or by somebody who is on drugs...
