Remember, it's an apartment!

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
I have: a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a gas fireplace, crown moulding, a built-in computer desk, sun room, full size washer and dryer in a seperate area within the apt., and a double entry! Try to find something as spacious and beautiful as this around here...
I don't have: the luxury of opening my windows to the fall and spring breeze (I-66), the ability to dance or do aerobics in my house (the floors are so thin), the peace of quiet of going to sleep at 1am (the snoring of a neighbor through the adjoining walls - be warned if you are a newlywed! or the music vibrating down from upstairs).
Living in an apartment has it's positives and negatives. The Lincoln at Fair Oaks staff have all been pleasant and helpful from day one (with the exception of 1 woman who they know has this problem). The maintenance staff have been helpful within one day with any issues(so they only give one day's notice to do the monthly filters - just leave your dogs roaming the apt).
The gate issue is annoying (why have them if they only work 1/2 the time), the trash area is full a lot (so we don't recycle as much as we should), and they have improved the pet waste issue by providing doggie poop bags - how many other communities do that as an attempt to improve themselves'
This was a temporary 1 year home for us, but compared to floor plans at other locations (I looked at 6 others), it is the nicest...
It would have perfect if we were away from I-66 on the other side of the community...
