The management people here need to be reminded that "don't rent others a place that you would not live in it yourself." My apartment is one that you shouldn't rent to anyone before you have fixed it up to a decent living condition. The maintenance guys have done a horrible job and the management refuses to replace anything. Laundry/storage room is dirty. Both bathrooms are old and everything is leaking - literally everything. Windows are probably older than me because the only other places I have seen such old and cheap aluminum windows are the houses built in the 50s or 60s. No one else in my family besides me can open or close these windows because they are so freaking hard, and they provides very little insulation. The AC is okay but the heating switches between cool air and hot air every 15-20 minutes throughout the day/night and it's very uncomfortable. When the outside temperature is really cold, the apartment is either extremely warm or extremely cold, and I can't never get it to be in the moderate temperature. There have been nights that I have to run in and out of my bedroom all night to turn the heat on and off, in order to keep my son comfortable and able to sleep through the night without either sweating like a wet kitten or shivering like sleeping outside. The carpet is completely worn out and dirty. Kitchen cabinet draws are so filthy and scary looking that we only use it to store trash bags and have to buy plastic containers to keep our utensils/silverware and snacks. The neighbors are very nice but I don't know about the inside of their apartments. Have I unknowingly done something to upset the staff that they put me in this ghetto apartment and would not provide me any service' As far as I know, I'm friendly to everyone in this community, including the lousy maintaince guys. Since I know for sure that I'm not going to renew my lease, I don't even want to bother calling them back to repair anything any more. What do they know about maintenance anyway' They do have the lowest price in this area but it's not worth it - especial when the place is in such bad condition.
