First of all, I have lived in this complex for about a year and we are moving out this September. When we first moved in, there were a lot of problems with the apartment that were all fixed...eventually. There was also a roach problem that deterred our move-in date a week, and was still apparent after we moved in.
The apartments are OBVIOUSLY old. The cabinets, counter tops and appliances are all old and need a lot of maintenance. Our stove pilot light went out on many occassions, each bathroom had to be worked on SEVERAL times, the garbage disposal had to be fixed and you have to wash the dishes BEFORE you put them in the dishwasher. Also, there is no washer/dryer in the unit. There are basement facilities w/ 2 washers and 2 dryers available for use at $1.50 each (quarters only...and no change machine). Not only is that a HUGE annoyance, the dryers were often broken.
Be prepared that a LOT of kids live in this neighborhood. Not a big deal, but a lot of outside noise during the day (especially in the summer time).
Office staff is "ok." There have been a few people that I've really gotten along with, but the majority of them could take a course in Customer Service skills.
The only other thing is parking issues and power outages. At least 3 times a week, I go home and all of my clocks have to be reset b/c our power has blinked out. Don't know why this is.
Also, if you are planning to have visitors, plan to have them park at the Best Western down the street because there is HUGE lack of visitor parking areas and they are QUICK to tow. Be very careful about that!
