I have been living at Oakton Park for close to 2 years now. I am happy to report that my lease is up in late June and I am never coming back.

The Good Points:
The neighbors are friendly and quiet (at least in my complex)
The 2-bedroom is spacious
You don't have to pay for utilities
Maintenance men come quickly and are friendly
Lots of children

The Bad Points:
The walls have been repainted so many times over it looks extremely tacky.
Communal laundry.
Tiny kitchens with cheap-looking cabinetry
Small closets
The parking is absolutely inexcusable. There are rat races where other residences have to sit in a visitor's spot just so a guest is assured a parking spot without getting towed. When there are no spots left, residences have to park offsite and WALK. The leasing department is very noncommittal in sympathizing to the situation or in adding additional parking.


I cannot wait to move to Maryland!

a better way to word it is the managment office does not care one but about the parking situation. There is no excuse for the lack of parking for guests. it would work perfectly fine at lease allow non- tagged cars to park anywhere till 11pm many other places do that and it is great cause they can park and then when you come home at 11 a lot of spots free up from guest leaving. but hey you know thhey jjust don't care and they have to lie to you to get you to come to the place there are alots of fake reviews on this place from the managment office.
