Nice proximity to metro

The apartments are not cheap. However, given the very high prices of owning a home in northern virginia, the prices are pretty reasonable. Some small 2 bedroom town homes sell for 350k plus in this area, so 1200-1500 in rent for comparable apartments doesn't seem unheard of. The management has been quick to address any of our concerns and we use the gym extensively. It's a little on the small side, but i've been told they'll be adding some freeweights. People seem friendly and it's a 5-10 minute walk to the vienna metro depending on which building you live in. I think i either have relatively quiet neighbors or well insulated buildings. I can hear more people walking outside in the stairway than in the actual apartments. Overall, i'm pleased with the living arangement. We've even got a gas fireplace (though i doubt it will get a lot of use given the current energy costs). My girlfriend walks to the metro daily and in the evening and feels pretty safe. I think the safety/convenience is worth the price.
