During the tour they show off the nice unit first so that is what you remember, then the other model unit is older...

A few things we discovered AFTER signing the lease:
1) No elevator doesn't sound too bad, until you go up and down the stairs each day and of course moving in... Good luck moving furniture up the narrow stair case avoiding the exit signs and lights!

2) Floors are not very soundproof.

3) The AC works great, if you are RIGHT by the air handler by the front door... The master bedroom is the last vent on the line and if you feel anything coming out of it, it is likely your imagination... That bedroom is sweltering! And maintenance can't do anything about it!

4) Which bring me to maintenance... RIIIGHT you would be better off calling your own outside people... The sink leaked 3 times in the first 4 weeks, the AC leaked so bad it molded our close and the two below us... They finally tore out the drywall and "fixed" it but then the people above us had theirs leak... You have to request the same things 100 times before they fix it! Oh, and the AC air handlers... Apparently they were installed wrong during construction... Maintenance did let that slip...

5) They do a really bad and unclean job with the painting of the apartment... It is on the mirrors, the counters, the floor...

6) AND BEST OF ALL!!!! They gave OUR keys 5 days after we moved in TO THE PREVIOUS TENANT and did NOT escort him into our apartment! In fact, they gave him the keys then went HOME for the night! I found him leaving my apartment; he was "checking his mail."

7) I got phone calls for about two months after we moved in asking if we were still interested in getting an apartment from them...

8) The sign says luxury apartments... Tell me why ALL of the applicances are Magic Chef JUNK and the oven doesn't even have a thermostat for you to use' And why was it sticking 8 inches out from the wall with the gas pipe out the back.... That took over a week to fix, after calling their corporate office!

9) The staff are nice before you move in, but after you do, good luck getting a smile or any niceties out of them...

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! Go to Carmel next door... More expensive, MUCH nicer places, and MUCH nicer staff! I wish we could get out of our lease! I have been told people got LAWYERS in an attempt to leave this place!
