A nice place to live.

I'm currently renewing for my third year here at the Jefferson. Some of the negative things people have said are partly true and some not at all. All in all I think the Jefferson is a nice place to live. The comununity is small so the office staff remeber your face if not your name and even if you have to park on the other side of the complex its really only a 60 second walk from one side to the other.

There was a problem with parking and twice i had to park across the street when i came home late but the managment offered special pricing on garage units and removed some of the visitor parking to make more room. I haven't seen the lot full since then. Visitor parking passes are $5 now but you only need them in your guests are staying past 10pm.

The landscaping is beuitiful. There are magnolia trees and new flowers are planted a few times a year. Having the grounds look nice is a great selling point in my book. Perhaps if some of the unhappy people would take a moment and take in the lovely surroundings they may find themselves in a better mood.

I had an ant problem at first as well but that happend in my last apartment too so i think it comes with apartment living. Maintenance spayed and i got traps and keep my sugery food tightly closed and no more problems. I don't have any problems with noise. I never here anything from my neighbors.

To my knowledge the mangment has only changed once in the time i've lived here. And yes the rent does increase but that happens everywhere and its going to be expensive in any nice place in Fairfax. Last year we negotiated with the managment and recived a month free and waiver of the amenities fee when we renewed.

Fairfax is a busy place so you have to expect traffic. And yes, durring the holiday season the mall traffic does back up but we haven't had that much trouble and its really easy to make a right and go through the hotel property next door to get to Monument Dr. Resturants and shopping are so close. You can walk to the mall, Maccaroni grill, Old Navy, Comp USA and more. I slightly longer walk and you're at the Government Center or Fairfax Corners.

Of all the places I've lived, I really do like Jefferson. We'll probably stay here until we have money to buy a house. I deffinatley recomend.
