POST HAS BEEN GOOD TO ME!

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
My roomate and I moved into our apartment in May of 2003. Quite honestly it was a bit of a hassle to move in, but that was mainly b/c we were fresh out of college and had no previous rental history - so the upfront fees were a bit ridicuolous. After we were settled, everything was close to perfect. The landscaping is absolutely gorgeous. The apartments on the inside are great - everything is very modern - with the exception of the stove, which really isn't a big deal. The price was great considering the area - we paid 1140 for a two bedroom two bathroom apt., and when time came to renew our lease there would have been only a 5% increase...not bad. The staff has always been extra friendly to us and I really felt like they took their jobs seriously. I'm going to miss Rick, Mary, Coleen, & Coleen - they were always very helpful to us. One thing we didnt like was that the people above us walked like elephants from time to time, but it wasn't bad enough to complain about it. You can usually park right in front of your apt. unless you come in at 4 in the morning and then you may have a bit of a walk. Visitors have their own little section for parking and don't have to worry about being towed like in some other communities. The gates always work, unlike in some communities. Maintainence requests were always honored within 24-48 hours and done right the first time. When we first moved in, one of the bedrooms had ants - but not for long. Overall, I would reccommend the apartment to anyone. At the end of the month I'm moving into a one bedroom at Bent Tree in Centreville, ONLY because they have a larger bedroom apartment for less money (on 150 off each month special) - but unlike POST the community is not gated, the landscaping is disappointing, and the appliances are older - so I guess you get what you pay for. Hopefully I'll have no problems. We'll see.
