If you want to live in Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest....move here!

I'm military and moved here, sight unseen from Florida. All I had were reviews on this website (Which is great by-the-way) which were so positive it sold me. I rented a top-floor, vaulted ceiling-one-bedroom unit with an external garage for my ride. The price is very reasonable compared to other places with, "Horrible" customer reviews. I've only been here about 2-months, but it's everything anyone could want in an apartment complex.

I commute to Bolling AFB, across the Potomac every day (Approx. 26 miles one way) and it only takes me 30-40 minutes each way. You can beat the traffic by leaving 15 mins. before everyone else in the a.m.(5:45-6:00)and there are several back roads into the Alexandria-D.C. city area. The Fairfax Metro Rail is only 10 minutes away on hwy 66. You know what they say about, "Location, location, location".
Oh, and 5-mins from the gigantic, double-decker Fair Oaks Mall, plus every restaurant and store you could possibly want. Just name it, and it's within a few blocks/miles. George Mason University is about 15-minutes away too.

The reason I love Post Forest is because of the incredible woodland landscaping, the attentive staff and the very clean facilities. This place is immaculate. It really is like living inside Sherwood Forest. There must be 15 different types (Oaks, Maples, Firs, etc.) of trees growing huge all over the property and more colorful flowers and shrubs than you can count. After a rough day at work, you come home here and just go, "Ahhhhhh..." because it's so easy on the eyes and peaceful. Birds chirping, squirrels running about and nice folks walking their pets. I fully expect to run into Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs someday....while I'm checking my mailbox.

As others have mentioned, this is an older complex, but that doesn't matter because it has been renovated and maintained to a super-high level. The pool is huge (Of course, surrounded by woods, flowers, shrubs etc.), the tennis courts are like what the pros practice on, and the gym has the latest aerobic machines, Nautilus/cable weight machines AND a full rack of free-weight dumbells too!
You will not be sorry if you choose to live here. Shop wisely!
