going down hill-- you can certainly tell Post doesnt own this property anymore. Standards are dropping, dog ---- everywhere, dogs barking. Hallways cluttered with old phone books that just sit. The back part of the complex has turned into a dog kennel. Used to be a nice place- things are changing especially managements view on noise, so beware. These apartments are older- and can hold up well if they keep up the standard- not likely to happen. They love their dogs!!!

and to tag on to what has already been written: no more online payment accepted, you have to walk you checks into the office every month. People now leave garbage outside their doors and in the hallway for days on end, and things have really got out of control with the noise and the dog feces everywhere. The "herb" garden is no longer maintained and is overrun with weeds, and beware if you are moving into a studio: the dryers still do not work properly so you will have to have your clothes cleaned off the property somewhere.

I have lived here many years, and have seen many people in Post's management come and go, but the new management company which purchased the complex is forcing it to go downhill at an alarming rate. The new staff has been rude to me on several occasions. Perhaps they should be reminded as to who lives here, and who allows their paychecks to be written!

Tenets don't pick up their dog's crap....blame management. Tenets drive around with loud music.....blame management. Tenets leave trash outside their apts....blame management. It's all about "ME, ME, ME, ME!!!" The maintenance service is about the same as before (which is great) and the property is well taken care of, as before. I have no problem w/ management. IMO, I think they are nicer than the previous one. As for paying rent on-line, I just got a notice on my door that on-line payment has been implemented. So, stop complaining to the management. Tell your fellow tenets to pick up their dog ---- or put their trash in the trash compacter. P.S. I do NOT work for management.

I've been a resident at Post Forest for about 4 years. 2 years in an efficiency in the building near the freeway, and 2 years in a 1-bedroom near the front. I don't think you should blame the dog situation on the new management. The old one permitted dogs too. The old management also posted plenty of newsletters on doors that reminded us to pick up after our dogs. I think your problem is more with selfish neighbors with untrained dogs than with management. Hopefully, you can speak with your neighbors and get some response. If that doesn't work I would report them and keep after management. So far, I think its too early to say whether new management is good, bad, or mediocre. However, they have been friendly when I go into the office and have responded promptly to maintanence requests. I'll reserve judgement on the condition of the property after a couple seasons go by. It's too early to tell if they are letting things go. One big problem I have with websites like apartmentratings.com, is that only dissatisfied people are prone to posting. Happy residents rarely post. That's why so many apartments on this website have ~50% scores. This is a truly good complex, so I hope people will take that into account. Old management also left phone books in the hallways and near the mailboxes in stacks. They have been by the mailboxes for the 4 years I have been here. You have a point about the dryers being absolutely worthless. I complained twice to old management and they never bothered to replace them. They always claimed to have maintenance "go look at them" and nothing ever happened. These are minor quibbles though compared to other places I have lived in. Disclaimer: I am not management and have never worked for this complex.
