Good for the money

Management runs a tight ship. Same-day maintenance, good groundskeeping, cars with no permits get towed. My apartment was in excellent shape and definitely worth the money.
I've heard that some people have big problems with roaches. I wouldn't blame management, though. Many of the tenants are 3rd-world immigrants, and probably their hygiene is not the best. For what it's worth, I didn't have a big problem, but I'm very clean, and I invested in lots of roach poison.
There's a bus stop right across the street from the rental office. Take the 16L "Express" to the Pentagon and back. The commute to DC is OK if you can accept the occasional disappointment (express bus not running, etc).
On your free time, it's essential to have a car, as most of the shopping/eating is 1-2 miles away. And this area is very, very bad for pedestrians (even worse for bicyclists).
I would recommend this complex to budget-conscious young professionals just starting out in this area, who can tolerate the commute. On the other hand, if you can afford to spend an extra $100-$200 more per month, it's best to live in the Skyline Park area, about 1.5 miles away. (Closer to DC,
more buses running, short walk to shopping, and a higher-class crowd).
