For the money, you can't do better

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007
Pros:
-Below-average rent
-Utilities are included
-Fantastic resident manager who cares about the residents and goes above and beyond the call of duty. She has helped to create a nice sense of community.
-Solid construction means that you will hear your neighbors far less than in more cheaply built complexes
-Brand new windows help with climate control and sound
-Good bus service (incl. the 50 cent GEORGE bus one block away), 1 mile (20 min walk) from WFC, and close walking distance to starbucks, restaurants, the library, community center, shops, running path etc
-Decent amount of space
-Absolutely no bug issues (I can't say the same for any other rental I've lived in)
-Responsive maintenance
Cons:
-Very noisy ventilation system-- particularly the AC in summer. It is antiquated and needs to be replaced.
-Problems related to an aging building: slow elevators, carpet in public spaces needs to be replaced, kitchen and bath fixtures are pretty old (but they will replace if you ask)
-Water pressure/temperature issues, but they have been working to correct this (although yes, it does result in water outages at inconvenient times if you don't keep a normal work schedule)
