Living and Loving Life @ Cavalier Club

I moved in to my apartment on the 7th floor in June of this year and every day, I tell myself how much I love my place. I can't get over how nice EVERYONE in the building is, from the staff to the other neighbors. It's quiet...my balcony is HUGE and for a one bedroom place, I couldn't ask for more. I have two cats who think they have died and gone to heaven because when the weather is nice, I leave the patio door cracked in the kitchen for them to go out and lounge on the balcony.

The closet space is phenomenal (at least in my apartment...don't know about the other 1 bedroom models) but aside from the standard double bifold closet in the bedroom, there's the HUGE closet off the living/dining area that I have extra clothes, christmas stuff, random boxes of stuff, etc...it all fits with room left over...and then there is the coat closet when you walk in the door, and the linen closet next to the bathroom. My last place didn't have ANYWHERE NEAR the closet space, was approximately 200 sq ft SMALLER and I paid nearly $1400/mo PLUS utilties and a storage unit.

I've never had a problem with ants or any other critters, much to the dismay of my cats. My AC and heat work EXTREMELY WELL...in fact, since the heat has been turned on, I've been keeping it set around 65-68 because it stays very warm in my place. There was a period this summer where the electricity was out for several hours at a time during the day because the onsite generator blew but the staff was extremely accomodating, and constantly leaving notices with updates about the electricty status. Yeah...it sucked not having electricity but at least we knew what to expect and when.

As for cat lovers, this place is very cat friendly with NO PET DEPOSIT OR RENT...yep, you heard that right...NO PET DEPOSIT. For me, that was a huge thing!

As for the freight elevator...yep...it's small but I have an oversized 8 foot couch and some how it managed to get in and out...not without a scratch or two but nevertheless, it made it. Same with my new queen size mattress.

My apartment is an updated one so the kitchen has new appliances and cabinets...very basic but I wasn't looking for a place with granite and SS appliances. My bathroom has blue tile...apparently you can get pink or yellow but thank God I got the blue! The bathrooms are small but for what you need it for, it works just fine.

When I first moved in, I dreaded the thought of a laundrymat but now I love it. I can get ALL of my laundry done in 90 minutes instead of having to take all day to wash four loads of laundry. I get it all done at once and it only costs less than $3 per load (wash and dry).

There is even night time security, which I find very reassuring. When I come home late at night, I never feel like I have to run from my car to the door. It's safe...it's a quiet place and for a single woman on a budget, I would recommend it to anyone I know. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
