One year in that apartment was just way too long. We had our car keyed twice, and the management would not do anything - Noise level was ridiculous, so was the electricity bill - one summer we were slammed with $250 for 3 bd rm - and there were a lot of 'hot air' coming through as the central system was so out-dated and just did not work. Try to open the window to get some air, and you will have bugs/flies coming in due to poor fitting of screens. (There was even an incident a child fell and died, too.) My stress level was so high just by living in that place. Worried about car parked in the lot would not be safe, air coonditioner may not be working, flood on the first level, etc, etc.
Yes, maintenance people are friendly but that's only becuase you have to call them way too often. They might as well be friendly. Strongly recommend people to look elsewhere.
