A final goodbye

Living at Fairfax Towers leaves a lot to be desired. The management staff consists of rude and surly women who do an excellent job in demanding money out of tenants, but provide little or no customer service. The manager is a moron and displays about as much charm as a toad. Sure, you get a 24-hour concierge-type desk, van to the Metro station, and a large swimming pool, but you end up paying dearly for that. As soon as your lease expires, your monthly rent increases by as much as 15%. The hallways are shabby, dimly-lit and in desperate need of painting. The workmen are slow in responding to work orders for repairs, and the elevators can be painfully slow at times. The management encourages diversity amongst the tenants, so very often you will see people who resemble extras from the "Lord Of The Rings" movies. A very basic and expensive lifesyle which I was pleased to finally say goodbye to. When you move out, you get hit up with the oldest scam in the book. The management claims you left a "dirty apartment" and accordingly send you a bill. Be warned!!!
