Hi,

If you are considering Fairfax towers, please re-consider. I lived in the apartment for over a year and below are some of the issues/problems I faced with the amenities, fixtures and people at the leasing office.

1. The apartment comes with old refrigerators, washer/dryers, stove tops that constantly break down.
2. The apartment walls are really thin, so you can forget playing music or entertaining guests.
3. The parking is abundant but it is so full all the time, you will be invariably be driving around in circles everyday. It's especially frustrating during peak summer & winter times.
4. Guest will have to get a pass to park in the nights past 8 PM, but dare you miss it by 5 mins the tow trucks is in waiting to tow it away and it'll cost you $150.
4. To the leasing staff,; they are extremely helpful before you move in and once you've signed they are hard to get hold off. They are rude and unhelpful. I agree they don't get paid a lot, but don't take it out on residents its not our fault. They bug you everyday when your lease is up for renewal and when you tell them you will get back to them at your convenience they keep leaving messages on your phone reminding you to get back.
5. All these factors made me switch residences earlier this year and I have not regretted this decision. The last straw is that they charged me for moving out costs, like carpet stains ( the carpet was in better condition when I turned the apartment in, I have a Dyson vacuum its the best in the industry) and kitchen cleaning and other vague reasons, asking for payment or threating to report me to collection agencies.

So if you want my advice please look around there are plenty of decent apartments for rent in the area. I write this because I never researched my options, so good luck and hope this review helps

Firstly you've made some assumptions here that are wrong, for someone who shares with a roommate to make an assumption that I don't make enough money is distasteful. Just to clear things from where you say you work I probably make 3 times your salary and the points I make are echoed by others before me on this site. To clear one point, there was "NO" stain on my carpet, the point I was making is that I am a clean freak and the carpet was in better condition when I left the apartment than when I moved in. So I was unfairly charged and I believe the leasing apartment has made a business out of making extra money on people moving out and on parking. So before you start getting personal please make your point and let people decide for themselves. I for one agree with you one point that you have to live somewhere else to appreciate what is out there. My only and last comment to you deegee322 is that you have very low expectations when it comes to living conditions, I expect a lot more and I live in a better place now and don't mind paying a little more for quality service. So good luck and if you are happy with Fairfax Towers I am happy for you. This post is for people evaluating moving in; a 50% approval rating proves my point. So please be constructive with the points you make and do not get personal, your post looses credibility by calling my experiences a lie. You were probably lucky that you have had a peach of a time at Fairfax.

I think that "sandmil" is a straight up snob with no life. You sound really cheap and lonely! You do not make more than me and you do not know me to make such an assumption, so try speaking on only "facts" yourself. I was not trying to get personal with you, but since you want to take it there...okay. How about you just MOVE OUT then. nobody is forcing you to stay at this place. Some people are very hard to please and you are just that type of person. There is so much going on in this country right now and all you can do is complain about such petty "opinions". Also, if you look at any apartment complexes on apartmentratings.com, you will notice that none of them have high scores because people usually just comment when they are pissed off. You are a prime example. When is the last time that you actually made a "good" comment. I would suspect...ummm...NEVER!!!

hahahahaha the fact that "a worker" responded back to this person's honest opinion of the apartment complex with "ummmmm...NEVER!!!" just shows the class of the people who work at Fairfax Towers. Aside from getting my mail, they have been next to no help. Heck, my neighbors who lived next door to a leasing office worker complained of her loud music, talking, screaming and fighting with her husband at all hours of the night.
