Beware of "Squeaky" Floors

My husband and I lived here for a year back in 1993. I see that the "squeaky" floors are still an issue after all these years. The only decent apartment to get is a top-floor one. When we lived here, we initially had a second floor apt. We were driven crazy by the upstairs neighbor who walked around until midnight every night. Although it wasn't her fault, the floor would squeak so loudly, we had to move to a top-floor apt. Mgmt has known about his problem for years but obviously doesn't want to spend the money to fix it.
