We lived at Fairfield Crossing for three years and really loved the actual apartment. My main complaint is the TOWING. They have a ridiculous list of reasons in the lease for why they will tow a car. It is also a huge hassle to have friends over because they MUST have a guest pass on their car or they will literally be towed in 15 minutes. We know this because we actually got a guest pass for a friend. He parked his car and came upstairs to get the pass. We hadn't seen him in a while, so we stood around and talked for a few minutes before remembering that we needed to go back down to put the pass on the car. We got outside (it definitely hadn't been more than 15 minutes) and his car was already gone. That was only one of a total of five times that either our cars or our friends cars were towed while we lived there.

The inside of the apartments are really nice and spacious. The kitchen cabinets are kind of cheap, but that's to be expected in these types of apartments. Our carpet appeared to be new when we moved in. We lived on the top floor, so we didn't have any issues with creaking floorboards, but I can imagine that it's a problem for anybody with an apartment above them. We really enjoyed the balcony because we lived on Random Run Lane, facing the evergreen trees, which were green all year long and a nice view from our apartment instead of streets and stores.

If you're going to live here, I recommend getting an apartment on the top floor and trying to get an apartment facing trees, not facing the center of the complex. Overall, I absolutely recommend living here. The staff is decent, not amazing, but decent. I also loved that we had a washer and dryer in our apartment. All of their apartments come with a washer and dryer. They definitely aren't huge, but it beats going out to do your laundry. Our apartment also had a dishwasher.

Final complaint is that the rent increased significantly from when we moved in to when we left, but that's understandable in today's economy.

I TOTALLY agree! The tow guys are INSANE! One even tried to pick a fight with my boyfriend!!!! I feel like Fairfield Crossing should get a better towing company or just get rid of them all together!!!! The had a towing freeze around Thanksgiving and the world managed to stay together without the Dominion Towing crackheads feverishly scoping the lot with their little flash lights!!! What's the point anyway? How can you feel like you're at home when NO ONE can visit you unless they schedule an appointment with you in advance. You do pay quite a LOT for all the hassle involved. It's an ok spot, but just ok. And YES, the floors DO squeak. Sucks for my neighbors on the 1st and Ground floors. :o( You may want to consider an alternative! :o(

I also live on Random Run lane in the top floor. Having a balcony is really nice and the view is beautiful. I would recommend the same thing. And the towing IS ridiculous. It sucks not being able to have people just stop in, but you CAN use the service road. This is only a problem overnight. And I've had friends wing it without being towed several times. The office staff will also leave passes in a box outside after they close in case you can't get them til later.
