Nice modest apartments, reasonably priced

Just found this website. It's been a couple of years now since I lived at The Glen, but I was curious what people had to say about it. I would recommend it! I lived there for about 5 years. They were modest apartments for very reasonable prices. Rent increases were not absurd, and maintenance was helpful. Biggest plus: I never saw a SINGLE bug the entire time I lived there. There were a couple of minor issues however: Once a squirrel broke into my apartment via the ceiling (I lived on the top floor, and some squirrels got into the attic). Maintenance immediately came and repaired the ceiling and set traps for the squirrels. I never had another issue with squirrels. On one other occasion, the gutters got stopped up and leaked in through the wall. Now that WAS bad, but they offered to come and clean the carpets. Actually they DIDN'T come around and clean, BUT I wasn't persistent as I was thinking of moving at the time and figured they'd have to pull up the carpets and replace them anyhow (a hassle I didn't feel like dealing with at the time) -- I'm sure if I'd gone over there again they would have. That was the only real issue I ever had. Other than that, minor occasional maintenance requests such as fix-the-drain etc. were always responded to promptly. Once the maintenance even came in to fix the drain -- afterward I ran into the maintenance guy out on the grounds, and he said he was going to come back and recaulk my tub. I had never even asked about that (I'm not the sort of person who would notice that a tub needed recaulking). Anyway, that was very nice. The den of the apartment has large windows which is nice, and I think the grounds are attractive (in a modest way). It's convenient to the grocery store (across the street). There's no washer/dryer, but the laundromat was reasonably nice. Parking was never any kind of problem, nor did I ever notice any loud noises. Pets are not allowed there.
If you are looking for a modest reasonably priced apartment and don't need tons of extra luxuries/amenities, this is a great place to live.
I got my entire deposit back when I moved, and they made no attempt to blame me for the carpet stain (from the gutter issue) even though the landlady had recently changed.
I was even allowed to rent month-to-month for a LONG period of time without much of an additional fee (actually NO additional fee until the landlady changed, and then it was only a small additional fee).
So overall impression: Good, affordable, modest, small but nice, management never harasses you about anything and is very responsive about maintenance.
