We are renting a condo from a private owner in the High Point at Jefferson Park. Jefferson Park is comprised of townhomes and buildings of condos (High Point).
It has been a really great experience in the 7 months we've lived here.

The buildings are very nice (and newer! Maybe 6 yrs old') with attractively painted hallways, elevators, and the common areas are cleaned/maintained regularly. Year-round AC or heating of your choice! In-coming/out-going mail in each building. The community has an outdoor pool, fitness center, party room, small playgrounds, and I've heard there is a dog park, but it is probably small like the rest of this quaint community. There are always memos about people in the community getting together at the clubhouse -probably once a month.

The assigned parking is convenient - the buildings have basement garages and there is perimeter outdoor parking. NOT much parking for guests, though, and the few "GUEST" spaces they have are always taken. There is open parking on the streets outside of the community, but get there early.

Noise - Very little. We hear the people above us because they are stompers!, but other than that it is a quiet and considerate community. With only one exit street, you would think it would be backed up for people to leave for work, but there is never a line of cars to get out.

Safety - seems to be good. Parking lots are well lit and you don't have to walk far. Trash area is in the basement/garage of each building so you don't have to go outside, and it is kept relatively clean and never gets too smelly. School bus stops and city bus stops are right outside the community.

Location! - walking distance to Giant, CVS, laundromat, McDonald's, Golds Gym, KFC, Einstein Bagels, Starbucks, Greevy's Bar, Silver Diner, old movie theatre.... etc. and about 1-mile to Dunn-Loring METRO on orange line. 3-minutes driving from 495(beltway), I-66, Hwy 50, Lee Hwy (29).

We really love it here and have kept our eyes open for one of these condos to BUY for ourselves, but overall they are too pricey and we will likely buy elsewhere. We currently rent a 1-bd 1-ba for $1350/mo plus utilities but includes parking, which is fair for now but the market is going down. We moved here from an apartment complex 1/2 mile away for the same price and this is SO MUCH BETTER!!
OVERALL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Are they still renting at jefferson park through a management company?

I don't think they use a managment company to rent the condos. It used to be an apartment complex, but converted to individually owned condos. We rent from one person who owns our unit. And still love it.
