We were in building A and it is my opinion that it is falling apart and management is waiting to do a major overhaul in the next 10 years. If you like the decor from "That 70's Show" then you will like Oakwood Falls Church. Our biggest gripe was that the washing machines are on the even numbered floors and not inside each apartment. Our second concern was the primitive heating system. All apartments are connected to a centrally controlled boiler/cooler so it is either too hot or too cold and the thermostat is a joke. The third concern is the old carpet. After a short time the carpet was filthy- it started as an old carpet to begin with. Many State Dept people stay there so the neighbors are interesting. I felt the opportunities at Ballston or Courtland Towers were better. When it snows it is difficult to get to the Metro whereas the Ballston Metro is accessible at all times and hours. Consider Ballston first especially if you are at FSI.
