Pretty good, but expensive

I moved into Oakwood over the summer of 2006 and overall I am pleased with the experience. The staff members are very friendly and problems are fixed in a timely manner.
The activities that are provided for the complex are loads of fun, even if you don't have children. They offer a continental breakfast each Sunday, well-priced bus trips to sporting events, amusement parks, and shopping, and they show movies each Friday.
The apartment is a little pricey, but if you break down the benefits of having a free shuttle each morning to the metro, free breakfast on Sunday, a well-kept pool and grill area, and a friendly staff - it's worth it.
The only downfall is that, like someone else mentioned, you don't really have time to meet many neighbors. Since they offer corporate housing, lots of people come and go throughout the year. I haven't experienced any problems from the summer until now like the reviewer before me mentioned - with college-age people partying on weekends and whatnot.
