The Oakwood - Falls Church sports a hotel/camp-like atmosphere, complete with continental sunday breakfast and summertime bingo. It would be a fun place if you are just a family drifting through and you do not have any pets.
There really isn't any place for you to comfortably walk a dog. The parking lot is especially trecherous so you have to be on guard at all times. There are also residents walking around at all hours that do not want to be anywhere near your pets. Walks have not been enjoyable for my dogs, I have to keep them brief and on a short leash.
Then there are the fancy electronic (hotel-style) doors, they do not come with doorknobs, more like door handles. Our dogs have learned how to pull down on these handles and have let themselves out of the apartment numerous times. On one occasion a maintenance worker even let them out of the building to run around the parking lot freely. We requested a deadbolt be put on our door by the management and this was their response "if we put a deadbolt on your door, everyone would want one." Imagine that! Residents wanting to feel safe and keep their children and pets inside the apartment.
If the management is reading this...Don't worry. We are moving out next month.

Do you realize that there is East Falls Church Park, Banneker Park (complete with dog play area), and other areas within very close walking distance where you can walk your dog? It will prove to be much more enjoyable for your dog instead of walking through a parking lot.

There is also the W&OD trail that you could walk your dogs on less than a mile from the apartment complex. It is a very well maintained trail and beautiful. I bet your puppy dogs would love to go there as well.

Try putting your dogs up in a kennel. Hotels/apartments are not designed to house your pets. If other guests are not wanting to be near your pets, maybe you should take a hint. Try renting a house with a yard next time if that is what you want. I stayed here and it was wonderful. I was in B building facing the back of the shopping center/cemetery. I slept great. My door and my co-workers both had chains on them. Did your dogs figure out how to jump up 6 feet and remove that too or were you just to lazy to use the chain?
