for anyone thinking of moving here, particularly from out of the area, please, please take the negative comments you see on here seriously. i didn't, assuming that these people just had unrealistic expectations for an apartment complex, and i moved in anyway. i really wish i had kept looking. living here is a contant aggravation.
when you come for the tour, the staff will be incredibly nice to you and you'll probably be impressed by the size of the apartments and the fact that every one has a balcony. take note of the announcement you will inevitably see in the elevator; 9 times out of 10 it will describe some sort of "improvement" that will inconvenience you in some way, shape, or form. hopefully you will not be taken in to believe that this indicates the management cares about continual improvement of the facilities. before you make the decision to sign the lease, please consider that there will NEVER be more than three days at a time that one of these "improvements" is NOT occuring, and you will be lucky if you receive notice in a timely manner.
i cant' tell you how many times i've come home to no working water with a notice under the door that the water would be shut off TODAY. i came home today to find an incredibly strong chemical odor, without even one of their retroactive "notices" as to what was done in the apartment. the elevators are regularly out of service, in the building and in the garage. also, although i don't blame this on the management, the fire alarm is constantly being pulled, which results in the fire department coming out and turning off the elevators. sucks to be you if you live any higher than the 5th floor! the pigeons seem to be more at home here than the tenants, as the piles of feces on the balconies suggest. the poorly thought-out placement of the buildings in relation to each other creates a wind tunnel that makes a mild breeze sound and feel like a hurricane coming through.
as some other people have mentioned, the management changed their method for calculating utility charges, basically to subsidize their poor planning. this resulted in monthly utility charges that were way below $100 to always over $200, and i am regularly gone.
the majority of the staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful. if you do plan to move in (and heaven help you), make sure not to even ask a question to the leasing consultant with the terrible blonde weave if you don't ultimately sign the lease with her. she will make every effort she can to be nasty to you and make anything you try to do with the leasing office as difficult as possible. the main individual who works the front desk can not be bothered to help you with anything, and will make it clear to you that he feels that you are an annoyance. maintenance requests are regularly lost.
if i was paying a third of what i pay now for rent, the aggravation of this establishment might be worth it. as is, the constant disturbances i've experienced have just about pushed me to the limits of what i can handle. i'm moving out next month, and i can not be happier! please don't make the same mistake i did; keep looking to find an apartment that is worth the money you'll be shelling out every month.

The comments regarding the staff are very true. I once went to the front desk to request a customer service number, at which point the front desk manager told me that "we were never given a customer service number". I was so furious by his response (what organization doesn't supply their managing agents with a customer service number?), that I went home and found the number myself. After finding the number I called the front desk to ask for the manager's name, and the security guard would not give me his name. I went to speak with him in person, our conversation leading to him asking me to "get the f*ck" out of his face. I have reported both of them to customer service and never received a call back. Leads to me to believe that they too are extremly inefficient, have no understanding of customer service and respect for their customers. Apartments are beautiful and convenietly located, but do not always compensate for the rudeness and inefficiency of staff members, particularly management, maintenance staff excluded. |

I agree that there is a problem here; the manager is a bully and mistreats the tenants. He is apparently a share holder in the business, but he acts like owns the place and is doing us a favor. Works ethics, customer service, high standards: those concepts are not part of his thought process.
