Hi

The management has been treating residents really bad. I hear all sorts of stories on top of the bad environment and over-charges. Anybody thinking of legal action by way of pushing back' If there's enough enthusiasm we could set up a group to follow up. They are creating lots of problems and overcharging people here. Did you hear about the guest parking fee now' Let me know if you want to share ina collective legal action.

Thanks

i actually told them yesterday that i am going to file legal action if they do not get my water back on. everyone in my building had their hot water turned off, but they still had running water. unfortunately, they screwed up something in my tier and i had NO water from 6 p.m. until 2 p.m. the next day! that's right...i am a professional, but i went into the office unbathed and unshaven. i have only been here a month, but i am irritated as h*ll. the management is horrible. oh yah - the parking - what the *$%@!? my fiance comes to stay with me on the weekends and i have to pay $15 for her visit for the weekend. and when i asked about a second parking pass (i thought it would be cheaper this way), they were trying to charge me $65 for a second parking pass!

Dear legal-action proposer, I suggest you create an e-mail account somewhere so all us willing listeners can meet and exchange ideas on this. There are multiple things going on: false advertisement, fee changes in the middle of the lease (that is what is going on with guest parking), etc. Looking forward to your next posting

I agree with you. They're quick to put posters up in the elevators to make sure they get the rent as soon as possible. But, when it comes to meeting their obligations in the lease, they always wave the sorry, "emergency" so we can't provide air conditioning, heat, running water, hot water, working elevators, etc., etc., etc. We're having an "emergency" every day. It's obvious they are not prepared to rent out apartments in this building.

Hello All. Yes, legal action would be highly recommended. I lived at Skyline for three in a half years, only to get accused one day out of the blue that I was behind on my rent. Strange considering that I always paid my rent on time, even two weeks early. Apparently, according to them, I hadnt been keeping up with the utilities they were not charging me. I wanted to leave Skyline -- I hated it -- they even put notices on my door several times claiming I didnt pay them, only to have to prove that I had (they credited somebody else with my rent - three times). Unfortunately I had just had a baby and my fiance wanted to stay simply because there was a big kitchen. Big mistake because they are suing us now for what they claim is us breaking the lease (didnt happen though -- there was never a valid lease -- the idiots didnt get the lease properly signed, but they are suing anyway). Anyway, run as fast as you can from this place. If you sue them, please email me. I will also need some witnesses for my case against them -- they tried to strongarm a whole extra months rent from me, so I gave them 30 days notice and got the hell out of there.

I wholeheartedly agree what all of you, but I don't believe there is a darn thing we can do legally. :(
