in response to the idiotic comments:

it is ridiculous that people reading this review would rather point fingers at the reviewer than read the feedback given. to all the anonymous people responding to my review: although it isn't any of your business why i would pay professional movers to move in and out in 6 months, it's simply because i moved out of town! (yeah.. that's possibility you didn't think of, is it!') irrespective of the fact that that I CAN afford to pay movers (which again is a non-issue and has nothing to do with the review of skyline towers), this place isn't worth the money they're asking for!

---
My husband & I lived here for 6 months and were in the south tower. First the negatives:

- The parking lot is absolutely horrendous! Infact, the first month we were there, they were renovated and still the end result was note any different. It's never cleaned it seems!
- The passageway to the parking lots (especially from the south tower) stinks of urine most of the time and that's no exaggeration! Most of the time we opted to walk out to the parking lot through the rain even, rather than walk through the stench inside the building. There's just no excuse for that.
- The 60 day move out notice is a rip-off even though they mention it during move in.
- The building corridors aren't regularly cleaned and since everyone is not diligent about picking up and throwing away the endless flyers/posters etc, the corridors are always a mess!
- Visitor parking is either charged or only limited to 3hrs.
- Beware during move in/move out.. they tend to book the freight elevators to atleast 5-6 people during the same day not leaving enough time to each person for moving their stuff. We had professional movers and still we had problems.

The good:
- The apartment layout is great and spacious. We had a newly renovated apartment and the kitchen appliances were just amazing.
- The maintainence staff is helpful and prompt.
- Onsite conveniences such as a salon, grocery, etc are a lot of help.
- The location of the building is good too - target, safeway, giant, trader joes, blockbuster, olive garden .. all walking distance!

All in all we were happy with our time in Skyline. We got in with a great special but with the new rates I cannot justify living there till they clean up their act.

Yeah and just wait until you see how much they increase your rent if you try to resign your lease--you'll end up paying a couple hundred extra a month depending on the size of your apartment. The appliances are new in my apartment too and that doesn't change the fact that the drains stink whenever the temperature gets above 60 outside. Plus those great maintenance guys are different from the construction crews we have to deal with daily. I came home from work the other night and there were two workmen lying on the floor in the hall at 7:00 at night. When I went out to go shopping a half hour later they were still there. They looked sick or something.

The appliances in my apartment do not work. In fact, the washer/dryer and dishwasher overflows when we tried to use it. When we told management, they said that they recommend that we not use the appliances. We don't know where you "lived", but there is no "salon" here. The "grocery" you mention is a tiny, hole in the wall with overpriced items. Maintenance usually doesn't show up and the rare times they do, they do nothing. Also, it is interesting that you say "All in all we WERE happy with our time (6 months) in Skyline." If you were so "happy" why did you move out after 6 months??? You were so happy that you spent money on professional movers to move you in and move you out after 6 months. Interesting. I note you said you "got in with a great special", and yet you moved after 6 months. Is this write-up part of your "special"? Are you high on something???

You are right about the urine and unsanitary conditions at Skyline Towers. In addition, it is shocking to see people sleeping on debris in the halls of the buildings like bums on skidrow. However, I agree with the earlier response, the appliances in the apartments do not work. We were also told not to use the appliances. And, there is no "salon" at Skyline Towers. And the "grocery" is the tiny hole in the wall with overpriced items that the writer (before me) mentioned. I too find it interesting that you say "All in all we WERE happy with our time (6 months) in Skyline." I also ask: If you were so "happy" why did you move out after 6 months??? Ditto to the second question: If you were so happy why would you spend money on professional movers to move you in and move you out after 6 months. And, I ask this question: If you were so happy why were you in such a RUSH TO MOVE OUT that you said "the 60 day move out notice is a rip-off" You couldn't even stand it for "60 days" and you say "we were happy with our time in Skyline". Did you even unpack??? Your actions speak volumes. Ditto to the earlier writer's question: Are you high on something???

There is indeed a salon in the basement of the north tower. I've never used it but it does exist. And I think the convenience store is simply that- if I need something fast I go there. But if I need groceries- I go to the grocery store. I've been at Skyline for almost 3 years now and am only leaving because the rent is too outrageous now.

I want a clean building, staff that respect and not underestimate people and it seems that this simple things are too much to ask here...
