Hi everyone! I was thinking of moving to this complex, specifically Skyline North Tower, in fact I went yesterday to take a look. They showed me an studio, which they said was newly renovated, the ones that have washer/dryier, it seemed clean at first glance, and better to the one I saw at Southern Towers. I am a student here and I am looking for a quiet place at an affordable price, the location of the buildings was convenient as well, however if the comments posted here are true, I don't want to waste my time and money. I would appreciate if any of you can leave a comment adressed to this note, because I need an honest opinion about the place before making a decision, 'cause I am in a hurry to find an apartment. For example, do you know if all the construction's work/noise is still going on'Something that concerns me a lot is the utilities bill, does anyone know how much do they ran up to for an studio' Hope for any type of response soon. Thanx.

Hello please dont move here. I am in a one years lease and this has been the worst experience regarding renting....There are mice that run above you in the ceilings thats in the gym. The security is horrible. The door is broke often. The electricity has went out five times since I have moved here. The utilities run 120 a month. There is always construction going on. The kids are so unruly and nothing is ever done. Please dont move here, I wish someone would have told me. However I HAVE NEVER HAD A RODENT PROBLEM OR I have never seen a bug in my own apartment. Lastlt management is only nice to you uppon moving in after that they do nothing to help you. They are very nasty after the lease is signed. They probably did not tell you that you can sign a two month lease so if you are still not convinced then try it out for two months, I am sure you will see what I mean.

Thanx to everyone who responded, actually I am sort of surprised of getting an answer, but I certainly appreciate it. Right now I am looking into other options, I would also take any recommendations. I went there again today, and all of you are right, no security swhatsoever, 'cause I got in without any problems. Also, the basement is sort of dirty and smells funny.
Does anyone know of an other good building where I can find a studio?
Good luck to us all finding good housing!

I moved out of that building two years ago and I still have nightmares about it. I was a newly wed with all new belongings. Unfortunately, the carpet and walls were infested with mites and bed bugs and we had to throw away all of our new linens, bedding, sweaters, etc. NIGHTMARE!

This place is horrible. I can understand some that might think it's really good value, that is those that are used to living say, in Afghanistan, or say, Syria, which incidentally, is most of the people living in that ghetto

Try some locations off of Beauregard. This place is definitely not worth it. Do not be fooled by what the lobby looks like. It is the worst managed place I have been in. The rent will go up the second year and you will pay more for utilities than they claim. I have had to review my bill each month and dispute it with accounting. Seriously consider changing your choice. You will have to deal with them for at least one year.

You do not want to move to SKYLINE TOWERS. This complex has a gang problem.

Hello,
I have been living here for only a week. When we moved in, we chose to pay for parking (90.00/month) and my husband's sticker is green. The girl VERY CLEARLY told us that green could park on any level. So I was thought that was pretty cool, and repeated exactly what she said. I said," Oh, so he can park anywhere but I can only park on the roof?" And she nodded and said yup! So on our first day there, my husband parks anywhere...and our car gets towed. They have all of our information on hand, but can't make a phone call or send us a notice stating that they towed our car, out of the garage in which we pay 90.00/month!!!!!!!!! So then we ask the Security Guard if he knows what happened, and he says oh ya, and pulls a paper out of his pocket with all of our information on it and says, "is this you?" So now we are driving around (we're new to the area) in search of our vehicle. The Security officer was of no help as far as directions, he couldn't speak English! The people who live next door to us are screaming and laughing at midnight, and we have 2 babies. They are Middle Eastern and VERY VERY loud. It sounds like they have 8 people living in a two bedroom apartment. So the truth is yes, you get a lot of square footage for the price. Yes, the management is only nice when you move in, and then everything they promised you goes out the window, now that they've made their commission! The basement smells like pee, oh and don't EVER use the stairs to get to the basement, you might pass out bc of the smell of Rat poop and pee. I was walking by the pool yesterday and saw two huge rats...lovely.
Well, I hope this helps!

About the rats, folks - I hope you know Fairfax County has an issue with rats as a whole. I have friends in pricey neighborhoods who have rats in their yards. It's the County, not ST.
