Incompetent MANAGEMENT of Skyline Towers. If you wish to post on this site, stop disguising yourselfs as tenants. This is an illegal act according to this site because you certify that you are not an employee or contractor for this community or any other community.

People should be warned that management is also giving tenants discounts to post false statements on this site to trick prospective tenants. We were given the offer and refused.

I seem to live on a completely different planet than most of the people who are posting so far. No problems, no complaints, and no, I am not affiliated with management, you goofballs. Just because some people are having bad experiences does not mean we all are, no matter how much you want to believe that. And if you're so mad, how come you don't come out and talk about it in the common areas to other tenants? I haven't talked to a single one of you, and I talk to a lot of people. I don't think posting on a website is going to solve your problems.

Only a lawyer is going to make Management change - only money is their motivating force. Talking with tenants - they have no power.

I talk with a LOT of people in this building and all these people have the same problem sooner or later: BAGS, MICE, RAT, POOP. Not matter how clean your apartment is. The appliances are OLD, this is all "The Truth".

I think that if one is of the 1 out of 4 that recommend this dump , those few are probably people that have moved into the slum sometime in the last year, or are stuck with a lease that they dont believe that they can get out of it, so they are in text book case of denial. Also it's knowns as "Sour Grapes" . So they protest and protest. "Me thinkst the Lady doth protest too much"

You all are too funny. Old appliances? Have you been living in Skyline for several years? You must, because my apartment and my friend's ( who just moved in last week and is VERY HAPPY) apartment are two totally different renovations with new appliances. Cheap materials-- not exactly. My cabinets are made of real wood. I even had some sawdust from the intstallation. I've had nothing but good experiences with the office. Has anyone else noticed the big changes that have happened recently? Like all the doors being locked down? How about the parking garage closing and staying closed until the card thingy is swiped? How about those new invoices so that we all know what's owed and when? How about the new cleaners that actually care about the way the hallways are. Has anyone else seen them actually wipe down the walls and all the washers and dryers in the laundry rooms? It's a HUGE difference! Skyline, I think, inherited some bad issues when they came in and granted that for a while there, things did get worse before they got better, but they really are getting better!

The appliances are cheap and have a life expectancy of 5 years at most, Billing....distributed by non- bonded people and these statements are distributed by non Equity Residential contractors (Cleaning Staff) and poorly distributed at that. Either the statements are half-way put under doors or left in hallways with all Client info exposed (ripe for Identity theft). The statements are not secured in any way. The doors are still not closed all hours as the Fairfax County Health Department wrote Skyline up for. The smells are Rat urine, feces and dead rats in the walls and ceiling in the basement and first floor. The smell and stains are not "moisture" as management has told Residents (confirmed with the Health Department). There was nothing wrong with the "old" cleaning people, the problem is and was the management not taking proper action to the problems in a timely manner. This is why the Health Department had to step in on the problems. Feel free to call the Health Department to confirm any of this. I have called them. Please do not comment on that which you do not know, it shows how ignorant you really are. Equity has only made the issues at Skyline worse. Problems were actively taken care of by previous owners. You obviously are management or are on good medications. Please share with us!
