The apartments are nice and new, but the quality is lacking. For example, the paint comes off the wall when you set a table next to it. They are big enough for living for 2-3, but there is almost no storage space.
Maintanence is great! They've always been out quick and got the job done right.
This place is not real safe for those of you with familes. We smell pot on a pretty regular basis and people are always stealing things from the workout room. Many of the neighborhood kids are almost violently mischeivious.
The management ... Merrifield Commons has changed it's name to "The Field at Merrifield" and the change has been nothing but bad! When we moved in, the Commons management was thoughtful and helpful. Though some of the staff continues to try, the current manager is rude and completely clueless. He almost seems intent on driving tenants out. Nothing gets fixed (exercise machines!), cleaned (lawn/trash bins) and the only contact we have now with management is complex-wide policy threats. We will not be renewing our lease - it's worth the extra $100/month somewhere else!
