I live with neighbors above and below me. There is incessant noise. I have to complain each time a new resident moves in, that usually reduces the problem. They have just been bought out by another company and moving/living here is completely unstable (could go condos and told to move at any time). Normally they want a 60 day (now 30)notice and have a $150 "move in" fee which is for nothing. Nice pool, easy parking before 11pm, safe, nice interiors, I have a 2 bedroom, so 2 bedrooms are above and below meaning more people, more noise. Can ask for a "non dog" complex. Can attempt for a "non kid" complex, but virtually impossible. Maintenance is just okay, w/in 24 hours but can't seem to follow my request of "call first." Management has high turnover but current leasing manager very nice. Currently VERY difficult to have evening guests - towing happens after 11pm. Snow clearing is good. Work out room size of closet, big pool. Storage closets may be available, but are extra. Upgrades to your unit will not happen when you are in it, so get them before you move in.
