Let me tell you why I'm a happy and "satisfied" resident. (I will answer emailed questions)

SAFE: this is important for women walking at night. I have never heard of a problem walking to and from your car or the bus stop or shopping center, break-ins or anything stolen. Kids have left their bikes on their open patios for days on end and nothing gets stolen. Residents have left their ten-speeds on-top of their cars with no problems. I have moved a few times within the complex and have lived in one, two, two bedrooms and den and three bedroom apartments on all three levels.

PUBLIC TRANSPORATION: Three metro buses within walking distance of the community. 28A & B and the 3T. You are within walking distance (5 minutes) from Exxon, Whole foods, Honey baked Ham, Tara Thai, Jerry's pizza, Verizon Wireless, Starbucks, Chevy chase Bank, Subway, a Latino store, Burrito Brothers, Jason's Deli,martial arts school and LADIES: you can get your manicures and pedicures done too. It's where I go. LOVE IT! Across the street: another gas station, 7-11, Trader Joe's, a computer, tanning, and running store and let's not forget Ledo's Pizza and to mail those Christmas packages is a small U.S. Post Office. And: The Public Library across the street as well. You are one mile from West Falls Church Metro and all of the buses go there or you can walk if you want the exercise. It's about 20-25 mminutes away. At the West Falls Church Metro, you can get the shuttle to Dulles Airport and there are hotels nearby for your out-of-towners.

GROCERY & PIZZA DELIVERY: PEAPOD and SAFEWAY delivers here. The Giant and other shopping in Falls church is less than 2 miles from the complex and is on the bus line. Buses run well on Route 7/Leesburg Pike because it is a snow emergency route. Important for pizza delivery when the kids get antsy.

FOR DOG OWNERS: This is a dog friendly complex. Yes, you are going to pay extra for it. But if you truly want your pet with you, Fido is worth it. And there is a dog run.

PARKING: There is parking on site and at times can be difficult to find a spot NEAR your apartment. With that said, YOU CAN FIND a spot on the property for your car. There is a small visitor's lot.

FOR PARENTS: The school buses for the elementary and middle school STOP IN FRONT OF THE COMPLEX and walking distance from Marshall High School. A small play area for young kids and there is a park Near the Public library across the street. There is a small stackable washer/dryer in each unit, so you can wash the kids clothes in a flash (especially great for those must have items they didn't tell you about) and have it for them by morning without having to go the laundry mat.

We do have a small gym that could use more equipment, but if you don't need much or the weather is nasty, it'll get the job done till you can get to your own gym.

There is a small pool: open from Memorial Day to Labor Day with a lifeguard. Again not to big but for some quick laps or suntans, it'll get the job done. FOR TANNING: There is a tanning salon in the Trader Joe's shopping center across the street. And for moms with little ones, you can sit with them in the water and get them tuckered out with a life guard present.

WHEEL CHAIR/ MOBILITY ISSUES: there are apartments that have a ramp near by and or apartments on the ground level that can help. My mother used a wheel chair and had to go to Dialysis three times a week and her fastran bus was able to get her in and out with little problems. And trust me when I tell you, should you have an emergency, firetrucks and ambulances know how to get here FAST.

Staff: The current staff are great at addressing problems within a resonable amount of time. Of course they do prioritize the issues and the need, and your issue will be addressed in a timely fashion. If you can be patient and not have any attitude issues, you will notice that these are good people who really want you to live in a nice environment. They will go the extra mile for you in little ways if you show a little kindness and consideration.

LETS TALK MONEY: The trick is to move here during the slow season. You move during peak times, yes you will pay more. Slower times of the year, less. It's that simple. For all that I mentioned, It's worth the money. I was even going to buy here when it was planning to go condo but as we all know that didn't pan out.
It's about location. And this is a prime spot just a hop skip and jump from 495 and 66. This is a well maintained older community build in the 1970's.
