I lived at Breezewood for one year and all was fine up until move-out time. I was in the wrong and did not provide them with a 60 day move out notice so they charged me a whole extra month plus the additional month-to-month lease fee. Jessica refused to help in any way just saying sorry that s policy. She claims maintenance put a notice on our door saying we need to give a notice if we are staying or leaving. I never got this notice and when I told that to Jessica her intelligent reasoning was well I have a copy of the notice in my file which means it was delivered. How the heck does that mean the notice was delivered to my door and that I received it' A few days later she calls and tells me she miraculously found someone to rent the place so all I had to do was pay for the first ten days of the month as opposed to the whole month. So I guess when it works in their favor they can do something about it otherwise the residents gets screwed. I paid a much smaller amount and busted butt in 100 degree weather to be moved out by the 10th of the month only to receive a bill in the mail a month later saying I owed another $200 and had only 10 DAYS to pay! They charged me until the 20th and not the 10th like Jessica promised me. Jessica never even bothered to call me and say hey, by the way, you have an extra ten days to stay and don t have to be out till the 20th as opposed to the 10th. Jessica really screwed me over. She never told me about some clause where if the new tenants moving in canceled then I was responsible. Had I known this, I could have budget my money to plan for such an event. Jessica does not care about the residents as she is all about the money. So basically Breezewood sucked a FREE $200 out of me since no one lived in the apartment from the 10th to the 20th. I m sure the company would go bankrupt without that $200.
Also, a week before I moved out the lawn crew was weed eating and put a rock threw my car window shattering it. The lawn crew will damage your car as they mow and weed eat right next to them without a care in the world. There are also reports in the paper all the time about cars being broken into at Breezewood. The price keeps going up as well. It s a rip off really. I found a much nicer and larger town home for $50 less a month than what I was paying at Breezewood. I will say I did not have any neighbor, parking, or noise issues during my stay.

I think if you treat people with dignity and respect you too will in turn be treated similarly. I wonder how many of these people with bad experiences have not taken that attitude into their dealings with Breezewood Apartments and is therefore why they feel they have had such a negative experience. If you present your dissatisfaction with hostility, bitterness, and resentment the point you are trying to prove or the issues at hand could get lost and may go unheard amongst the anger and frustration. Try to stay calm and present your disputes clearly and concisely and I am sure you will have a different response from others and will have a much more positive outcome for your situation. There will be problems no matter where you go, but how you present and deal with those problems with others may have a positive or negative result in your outcome. FYI, my wife and I always had a pleasant interaction with Jessica. In addition, you should always read and know your leasing agreement and move out policy before making those decisions. You can't fault a business for adhering to their policy and enforcing consequences even if that means you have to pay a fee. Those rules are established for a reason. Perhaps better personal discipline and responsibility would have resulted in a more positive outcome for you and would not have resulted in a company having to enforce its policy in your situation. The only fault I see here is your own, sorry.

Yes, I agree with happywithservice, the fault seems to be your own. People people you have GOT to read your lease. 60 days notice is the norm for giving notice. Keep and read that lease next time, it will save you from a lot of confusion. I lived at Breezewood for 2 years and their leasing office was outstanding from the day i came to look at a place, signed a lease and moved in until the day i left.

Sorry, but you are assuming I went into the office with a nasty attitude and I did not. If you actually read my review I stated that "I was in the wrong" however, I did not like some of the things Jessica did. You had no response as to why Jessica did not inform me that I had an extra ten days to live there or that I was being charged when I did not know it. I was handed a final bill and supposedly done with the place. I also stated that I did not have any other issues other than at the end of my lease and with the lawn crew. I'm glad the office management reads these reviews so they know how people feel though.

I agree with you. That sounds like really poor management to me as well. Even though you were in the wrong, it was Jessica's responsibility to inform you if the date you needed to move out changed. I also agree that is very unintelligent to say that a notice got delivered because they have a copy of that notice stored away in the office. Seems to me if they are so big on policy that they need some better policies themselves like spending some of the extra money they screw out of people to mail notices instead of sticking them on the doors assuming that it doesn't blow away or some kid comes by and takes it. Also, that whole move out experience sounded extremely disorganized on the part of Breezewood. That would also make nervous knowing the lawn crew was mowing and weed eating right by car. I hoped they at least help fix your shattered window. I am glad you found a better place.
